The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Pepsi Juvenile A Girl's Provincial Championships

On March 21 and 22 the town of Clarenville will be hosting the Pepsi Provincial Juvenile A Girl's Volleyball Championships. All games will be played at Clarenville Winter Games Complex. The tournament will feature 10 teams from around the province. The teams will be divided up into two divisions of five teams with a round robin format to be played within each division. The top two teams from each division will advance to the semi-finals. Divisional play will get under way on Friday, March 21 at 5 p.m. and will continue on Saturday at 9 a.m. The playoffs will start with semi-final matches scheduled to start around 2 p.m. followed by the bronze and gold medal matches starting at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively.

The teams competing in the tournament include Ascention of Bay Roberts, Strikers of Marystown, Humber Valley Club of Corner Brook, Jevenile Sentinels of Grand Falls-Windsor, Greenwood Gladiators of Milltown, Clarenville, ONCA of St. John's, Discovery Collegiate of Bonavista, Presentation MIdget of Corner Brook, and Gander.
