Pepsi Juvenile B Girl's Provincial Championships

On March 21 and 22 the town of Conception Bay South will be hosting the Pepsi Provincial Juvenile B Girl's Volleyball Championships. Games will be played at St. Thomas of Villa Nova, Holy Spirit, Queen Elizabeth High, St. Edwards, and Fred Kirby. The tournament will feature 26 teams from around the province. The teams will be divided up into four divisions of both six and seven teams with a two-game round robin format to be played within each division. The top two teams from each division will advance to the quarter-final match. Divisional play will get under way on Friday, March 21 at 4 p.m. and will continue on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. The playoffs will start with quarter-final matches scheduled to start around 3:30 p.m. at Holy Spirit, Queen Elizabeth, St. Edwards, and Fred Kirby. The semi-finals will start around 4:30 p.m. followed by the bronze and gold medal matches all to be played at Queen Elizabeth High.

The teams competing in the tournament include Labrador West, CBN Knights 1 and 2, St. Boniface of Bell Island, Glovertown Eagles, Botwood Divas 1 and 2, Nordiques of Norman's Cove, Hare Bay Mustangs, Churchill Falls Diggers, Heart's Content Eagles, Jacques Fontaine Eagles of St. Bernard's, Small Academy of Gambo, Grand Falls Academy Gryphons, Strikers Shoppers and Juvenile of Marystown, CBS Falcons and Sabres, St. Michaels of Bell Island, Exploits Valley Beothuks of Grand Falls- Windsor, Templeton Tigers of Corner Brook, Lester Pearson of Wesleyville, East Port Crusaders, Holy Cross Crusaders of St. Alban's, Musgravetown Mustangs, and Springdale.
