The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

Pepsi Midget B Girls Provincial Championship On February 28 and March 1 the town of Springdale will be hosting the Provincial Midget B Girls Volleyball Championships. Games will be played at Chrisma Collegiate and Grant Collegiate. The tournament will see nine teams from around the province battle it out for the championship. The teams will be divided up into two divisions with a round-robin format to be played within each division. The top two teams in each division will earn a spot in the semi-finals. Divisional play will get under way on Friday, February 28 at 4 p.m and will continue on Saturday at 9 a.m. The playoffs will take place on Saturday at approximately 3 p.m. after the completion of divisional play. The playoffs will start with semi-final rounds and finish off with the bronze and gold medal matches which will be start at about 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. respectively at Chrisma Collegiate.

The teams that will be competing at this tournament are Springdale Volleyball Club, Holy Cross All Grade of St. Albans, G.C. Rowe of Corner Brook, John Burke Buccaneers of Grand Bank, Striker's Midget Blue and Wiscombes of Marystown, Windsor Collegiate of Grand Falls-Windsor, St. Annes of Conne River, and Humber Valley Midget 2 from Corner Brook. This tournament will definitely be the site of some exciting volleyball.
