January 24, 1997 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: The Newfoundland and Labrador Weightlifting Association's 1997 Eastern Canadian Junior Championships are being held on Saturday, February 15, starting at 11:00 a.m., at the Provincial Training Centre on Torbay Road. Hosted by the Newfoundland and Labrador Olympic Weightlifting Association the championships include male and female competitors from Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Quebec.
