NOTE TO EDITORS:

A news conference will be held today in Moncton to launch a significant new initiative that will have a major impact on the tourism industry across Atlantic Canada.

Expected to take part in the announcement are Fred Mifflin, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Secretary of State for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), representatives from the four Atlantic provincial governments, and key representatives of the tourism industry in Atlantic Canada.

The news conference will take place today (Thursday, November 13) at 12:30 p.m. in the Albert Room of Keddy's Brunswick Hotel in Moncton. It will be followed by a reception in the adjoining Carleton Room.
