NOTE TO EDITORS:

On Wednesday, November 12, Tourism, Culture and Recreation Minister Sandra Kelly and Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador will host a meeting with tourism industry representatives to review the Cabot 500 Anniversary year, and discuss the successes, experiences and lessons learned so far.

This Tourism Summit will take place at the Travellers Inn, Kenmount Road, St. John's. The sessions will be closed to the public, but the media are invited to attend a news briefing at approximately 3:30 p.m. Sandra Kelly, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, and Liam Sneyd, President of Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador, will be available at that time.

Ms. Kelly will be presenting the official preliminary figures on Cabot 500 attendance and participation, and that information will be released to the media before the news briefing.
