NOTE TO EDITORS:

Atlantic Satellite Network (ASN) is in our province to cover several events. The ASN crew will broadcast live every morning from Monday, August 4 to Wednesday, August 6 between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. They will also be taping weekend events including the George Street Festival, the Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival and the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Gander.

BREAKFAST TELEVISION SCHEDULE

Monday, August 4 - from the Murray Premises courtyard.

Hotel Newfoundland's chef Steve Watson will prepare some traditional home-cooked Newfoundland food. The public is invited to drop by and sample. There will also be performances by the Loyal Shakespeare Company, the Ennis Sisters, and Jimmy Whiffen.

Tuesday, August 5 - from the bandstand on George Street

ASN will tour one of North America's liveliest streets, George Street and talk about the Matthew replicas. Sods and Rhymes, Hard Tickets and High Society Dinner Theatre Group, and the Cabot Kids will also perform.

Wednesday, August 6 - from the Quidi Vidi Lake Boathouse

The ASN crew will find out all about North America's oldest sporting event, learn how to judge a rowing race, and interview some team members.

Everyone is invited to come on out and be a member of the audience at these live productions.
