Launch the Year of the Arts 1997 and
the NewTel/Arts Council Cultural Innovation Fund
On Friday, February 28 the Year of the Arts 1997 - A Voyage of Celebration will be showcased with a line-up of talented Newfoundland artists representing seven artistic disciplines and various regions of the Province. In partnership, The NewTel Group will announce details of the Cultural Innovations Fund.
The Department of Canadian Heritage and the province will participate in the special celebration launching represented by Deputy Prime Minister Sheila Copps, Premier Brian Tobin and Minister Sandra Kelly.
Media and special guests are invited to attend the Year of the Arts Launch and the announcement of the Cultural Innovations Fund which will be held at the LSPU Hall on Victoria Street, St. John's, at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, February 28.
