NOTE TO EDITORS:

Provincial and Territorial Ministers Responsible for Local Government are currently meeting in St. John's and will conclude the formal part of their conference on Friday at approximately 10:30 a.m. The ministers will then make themselves available to members of the media to answer questions regarding the conference agenda and other matters relating to municipal affairs.

The scrum with the ministers will be held in Salon B of Hotel Newfoundland. In advance of the scrum, communiques will be made available to the news media.

The host minister, Art Reid, Minister of Municipal and Provincial Affairs, will provide a brief overview of the conference to be followed by a question and answer session.
