NOTE TO EDITORS:
St. John's is the host city this year for the conference of Provincial and Territorial Ministers Responsible for Local Government. It is being held on September 3 to September 5 at Hotel Newfoundland. Host Minister, Art Reid, says ministers will discuss a number of issues of importance to local government including the Federal/Provincial Infrastructure Program, municipal restructuring and the devolution of social housing. While it will be a closed conference, the ministers will meet with the media on Friday, September 5th.
