NOTE TO EDITORS:
A major announcement concerning the Marystown Shipyard is scheduled to take place on Friday, October 3, at 12 noon at Hotel Marystown.
Premier Brian Tobin will be joined by representatives of Friede Goldman Internatinoal Inc. of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Judy Foote, Minister of Industry, Trade and Technology, union and management officials, and local dignitaries.
Premier Tobin will provide details concerning the outcome of negotiations towards divestiture of the Marystown Shipyard between the provincial government and officials from Friede Goldman International Inc., one of the world's leading design and fabrication companys for offshore drilling rigs.
