The following is being distributed at the request of Canadian Food Inspection Agency:

Allergy Alert - Presence of undeclared brazil nuts and hazel nuts (filberts) in Trophy Brand Chocolate Delights and in Trophy Brand Supreme Selection

Trophy Foods Inc. of Mississauga and Calgary is warning consumers who may suffer allergic reactions to brazil nuts and hazelnuts (filberts) not to eat:

1) Trophy Chocolate Delights a mixture of chocolate, chocolate covered nuts and chocolate covered fruit packaged in a clear plastic tray, weighing 480 grams, with a black and yellow label showing UPC code 59966 04401; or

2) Trophy Supreme Selection, a 495 gram mixture of coated peanuts, chocolate covered nuts and chocolate covered fruit packaged in a plastic tray with UPC code 59966 04402.

Undeclared chocolate covered brazil nuts and chocolate covered hazel nuts (filberts) are present in both of these products.

As a precautionary measure, Trophy Foods Inc. has initiated a voluntary recall of all lots of these products distributed in Canada. Trophy Chocolate Delights and Trophy Supreme Selection are sold in food, drug, department and specialty food stores throughout Canada.

Consumption of these products is of concern to those who are allergic to brazil nuts or hazelnuts (filberts). Consumers who wish to do so, may return packages of these products to the point of purchase for a full refund.
