The following is being distributed at the request of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency:

Allergy Alert - Presence of Undeclared Peanut in Ulker Hanimeller brand hazelnut cookies

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning consumers with peanut allergies not to eat Ulker Hanimeller brand hazelnut cookies sold in 110 gram packages. The product has been found to contain peanuts which are not declared on the label.

The product is imported from Turkey and distributed in Quebec by Les Produits Phoenicia Products Inc. of Montreal. It may also have been distributed in other provinces by other importers.

Consumption of these cookies is of concern only for those who are allergic to peanuts. There have been no reports of illness.

The importer, Les Produits Phoenicia Products Inc., is recalling the product from the marketplace. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
