Executive appointments announced in Works, Services and Transportation

Premier Brian Tobin today announced several executive appointments in the Department of Works, Services and Transportation.

Don Osmond, former Assistant Deputy Minister - Corporate Services, becomes Assistant Deputy Minister - Works. The position of Assistant Deputy Minister - Corporate Services is abolished.

George Greenland, former Assistant Deputy Minister - Works, becomes Senior Coordinator - St. John's Health Care Redevelopment.

Keith White, Director of Design and Construction, becomes Executive Director - Roads.

DON OSMOND

Appointed as Assistant Deputy Minister, Works

Don Osmond has spent most of his career with the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation. In addition, Mr. Osmond has lectured at Memorial University's School of Business, and has worked as a civil engineer. He holds a Masters of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), all from Memorial University of Newfoundland.

 

GEORGE GREENLAND

Appointed as Senior Coordinator - St. John's Health Care Redevelopment

Prior to joining Works, Services and Transportation, George Greenland served as an assistant deputy minister with the Department of Development. He was also a department head at the Marine Institute. Mr. Greenland also worked for Newfoundland Hydro and the private sector in the Corner Brook area. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and Master of Engineering degree from the Technical University of Nova Scotia.

 

KEITH WHITE

Appointed as Executive Director - Roads

Keith White has worked with the department for 14 years. He also worked for Atlantic Concrete, a division of Lundrigan's Limited in Corner Brook, for 13 years. Mr. White holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia.
