REMEMBRANCE DAY HOLIDAY

Oliver Langdon, Minister of Environment and Labour, announces that Tuesday, November 11, 1997, is Remembrance Day and is a shops closing holiday under the Shops Closing Act. All shops which are not exempt under the Shops Closing Regulations are required to be closed on that day. A list of exempt shops can be obtained from the Labour Standards Division. Remembrance Day is not a paid public holiday.
