NOTE TO EDITORS:

The Provincial Department of Environment and Labour, Environment Canada, the Lung Association and Automotive Diagnostics Ltd. will be holding a series of "No Fees - No Fines" vehicle emission clinics next week to raise awareness of air pollution issues. The purpose of each clinic is to provide an opportunity for people to discover just how environmentally friendly their vehicles are with respect to air emissions.

The clinics will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Monday, July 21 Bidgood's Plaza, Goulds
    Tuesday, July 22 T.C. Square, Carbonear
    Wednesday, July 23 Beaver Plaza, Bay Roberts
    Thursday, July 24 Churchill Square, St. John's
    - Saturday July 26

    Media and the public are invited to participate in the clinics.
