Advance Poll Voting Advance polls for the Plebiscite on the Future of Education were held in all electoral districts of the Province on Tuesday, August 26, 1997. A total of 5,870 ballots were cast at all advance polling stations across the Province in comparison a total of 4,441 ballots were cast in the advance polls in the 1995 Plebiscite. In the February 22, 1996 Provincial General Election 5,631 electors voted in the advance polls. Voters are advised to check local newspapers this week for the location of polling stations for the September 2, 1997 Plebiscite on the Future of Education.
