The annual financial statements for the three registered political parties of Newfoundland and Labrador have been filed with the Chief Electoral Officer for the year ended December 31, 1996. The Liberal Party, New Democratic Party, and Progressive Conservative Party each have filed audited financial statements and a list of contributors as required under Part III of the Elections Act, 1991. These financial statements will be subject to a review for compliance before being certified by the chief electoral officer as to having met the requirements of Part III of the Elections Act, 1991.

Pursuant to Section 277 of the Elections Act, 1991 these financial statements are now available for public inspection during office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, 39 Hallett Crescent, O'Leary Industrial Park, St. John's.
