International survey of Mathematics and Science test results to be released

Results from the world's largest test of mathematics and science skills will be released tomorrow (June 11) at 10:30 a.m., at a news conference in the Media Centre, Main Floor, East Block, Confederation Building, St. John's.

Canadian grade four students were among those from 26 nations tested for mathematics and science skills in the second phase the Third International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS).

The results of phase one, which tested grade eight students, received international media attention when they were released last November.

TIMSS is based at the University of British Columbia. Test results will be released in St. John's in conjunction with the Learned Societies conference.
