Contract awarded for flood repairs at Coal Brook Bridge and at Ryans Brook Bridge

Julie Bettney, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Kevin Alyward, MHA - St. George's - Stephenville East, are pleased to announce that a $108,741.25 contract (Project #44-96 TOR) has been awarded to Harmon Construction Ltd. of Stephenville.

The contract calls for flood repairs at Coal Brook Bridge, km 845.93 on the Trans Canada Highway and at Ryans Brook Bridge, km. 1.6 on Route 460-13.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Trans Canada Highway Agreement.

Harmon Construction Ltd. was the lowest of six bidders. This project is to be completed by October 31, 1996.
