Contract awarded for river bank protection at Robinson's River and
Middle Barachois Brook in the vicinity of 800 km on the Trans Canada Highway

Julie Bettney, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Kevin Alyward, MHA - St. George's-Stephenville East, are pleased to announce that a $226,440 contract (Project #42-96 TOR) has been awarded to Johnson's Construction Ltd. of Corner Brook.

The contract calls for river bank protection at Robinson's River and Middle Barachois Brook in the vicinity of km 800 on the Trans Canada Highway.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Trans Canada Highway Agreement. Johnson's Construction Ltd. was the lowest of six bidders. This project is to be completed by October 31, 1996.
