Contract awarded to construct pretessed concrete girder bridge over Highlands River at Lock Leven

Julie Bettney, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Kevin Aylward MHA - St. George's-Stephenville East are pleased to announce that a $777,791 contract (Project #40-96 TSB) has been awarded to Johnson's Construction Limited of Corner Brook.

The contract calls for the construction of a prestressed concrete girder bridge over Highlands River at Lock Leven and associated work.

This project is being financed under the Federal/Provincial Atlantic Freight Transition Program.

Johnson's Construction Ltd. was the lowest of five bidders. This project is to be completed by July 31, 1997.
