Contract awarded for supply and placement of armour stone on existing breakwater at Portugal Cove

Julie Bettney, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, and Jim Walsh, MHA - Conception Bay East and Bell Island, are pleased to announce that a $260,500 contract (Project #29-96 PMR) has been awarded to Weir's Construction Limited of Manuels.

The contract calls for the supply and placement of armour stone on the existing breakwater at Portugal Cove.

Weir's Construction Limited was the lowest of seven bidders. This project is to be completed by October 31, 1996.
