Contract for upgrading and paving Route 80, Heart's Content to Heart's Delight

John Efford, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, is pleased to announce the awarding of a contract for upgrading and paving Route 80, Heart's Content to Heart's Delight, approximately 18 kilometres, including improvements to storm sewer at Heart's Content, to Concord Paving Limited of Carbonear.

The contract value totals $2,012,655 and is to be completed by September 15, 1996. Concord Paving Limited was the lowest of three bidders.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Trans Canada Highway Agreement. Contact: Ian Chaytor, Director of Public Relations, (709) 729-1968.
