Contract awarded to contruct a prestressed concrete overpass at intersection of
Route 2 and new Conception Bay South By-Pass Road

John Efford, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, is pleased to announce the awarding of a contract to construct a prestressed concrete overpass, including the approaches and associated work, at the intersection of Route 2 and the new Conception Bay South By-Pass Road, to Trident Construction Ltd. of St. John's.

The contract value totals $1,298,213 and is to be completed by September 30, 1996. Trident Construction Ltd. was the lowest of five bidders.

This is a joint project between Transport Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Regional Trunk Roads Agreement.
