The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

The Newfoundland Taekwondo Association is pleased to present taekwondo workshops offered by Master Chong Lee in St. John's, October 19 and 20.

Master Lee is the chief instructor and examiner for the Canadian Taekwondo Association (over two million members). He has been the chairman for the Canadian coaching committee for Team Canada, for 19 years and has been credited with producing over 150 national champions, 50 international champions, and six Olympic medallists (1988 - one bronze, 1992 - two silver, three bronze).

Master Lee has been practising and promoting Taekwondo for 47 years and has more schools, in more provinces, in Canada, than any other master. He has taught over 70,000 Canadians the art and sport of Taekwondo over the past 33 years in Canada - since 1963, when he first introduced Taekwondo to Canada - over 3,500 have been promoted to the rank of black belt by the World Taekwondo Federation, which is the only official governing body for Olympic Taekwondo.

Master Lee is always in pursuit of the most effective and innovative training practices including regular communication and visits with the Korean National Team and coaches, which he then shares with selected instructors and coaches in each province in Canada.

Master Lee will be in St. John's to conduct workshops for all levels of experience from novice to master. The host school for this event, Cantwell's Olympic Taekwondo, wishes to extend an invitation to all registered Olympic Taekwondo practitioners to join them as they reach for the Olympic ideals of faster, higher, stronger, with Canada's #1 Olympic Taekwondo Coach.

For details contact your local Newfoundland WTF Olympic Taekwondo School. Wayne Simon, president, (709) 643-3340; or Reg Cantwell, vice- president, (709) 754-5425.
