Basketball association annual meeting


The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will hold its annual general meeting this weekend June 21-23, at the Battery Hotel in St. John's. Items to be discussed include: future direction with minor development, expanding coaching development under the NCCP, financial burdens placed on all programs, provincial coaches policies, provincial senior and minor championships, resurrection of the Hall of Fame, exclusive merchandise items, corporate sponsorships, a national membership model and the election of officers.

The meetings are scheduled for Friday through Sunday and a luncheon will be held to announce Coach of the Year and a number of achievement awards as well.
