May 1, 1996 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) Kenpo Association sponsoring tournament, May 4 The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: The KENPO Association of Newfoundland and Labrador will be sponsoring a tournament on Saturday, May 4 at the Holy Heart of Mary gym in St. John's. This tournament is open to Kenpo students of all ages and belt ranks in the province. Competition will be in both kata and kumite (in the form of point fighting). Registration for juniors will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the gym with the competition commencing at 10:30 a.m. Seniors must be registered by 12 noon. One fee covers any and all events.
