Cape St. Mary's Interpretation Centre officially opens its doors

Sandra Kelly, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, will officially open the Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve Interpretation Centre on Wednesday, August 14 at 2 p.m.

Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve has international significance. The reserve is the third-largest gannet colony in North America boasting an impressive diversity of breeding seabirds. It is also the site of the only land-accessible gannet colony in North America.

Funding for the Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve Interpretation Centre is cost-shared 70:30 by the Government of Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
