1996 Arts and Letters Competition winners announced The 44th annual Arts and Letters competition presentation of awards is scheduled for Thursday, May 30, 1996 at the Arts and Culture Centre. This has been a record year for the competition with 1,227 entries received. There will be a reception at 7:30 p.m. in the provincial art gallery. Their Honours the Lieutenant Governor Frederick W. Russell, Honourary Patron of the Arts and Letters competition, and Mrs. Russell will be in attendance as well as Sandra Kelly, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation.
