Funding to Improve Provincial Parks Sandra Kelly, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, today announced that $500,000 of funding will be made available to improve and upgrade the Provincial Park System. "Improved park facilities will be of benefit to both resident and non-resident tourists. These necessary improvements will allow for a better camping experience for park users," the minister said. "In government's continuing effort to expand and enhance the tourism industry of the province it is committed to upgrading the system of provincial parks. Based on the expressed desire of park users, improvements include the upgrading of campsites and day user areas," the minister said. These upgrades are part of the Parks and Natural Areas Division's current fiscal year plan to upgrade park facilities.
