NOTE TO EDITORS:

Penelope Rowe, chairperson of the Social Policy Advisory Committee, will hold a news conference tomorrow (Tuesday, September 17) to announce the schedule for public dialogue, in preparation for the development of the provincial Strategic Social Plan. This is the next stage in the development of the plan after government released the Strategic Social Plan Consultation Paper last June.

Ms. Rowe will provide information about the process and discuss the importance of participation, as this dialogue will offer everyone a chance to help determine the framework for future directions of social programs and services in this province. She will also outline the different tools and means with which people can participate in the dialogue. The news conference will be held in the Third Floor Boardroom of the Beothuck Building on 20 Crosbie Place, at 11 a.m.
