Internationally Recognized Expert on Cost-Benefit Analysis of Social Programs to Address Public Forum on May 30

The School of Social Work, in cooperation with the Children's Committee, will be sponsoring a Public Forum Thursday, May 30 at the Health Sciences Centre Auditorium beginning at 7:00 p.m. The topic for the forum is: COSTING SOCIAL PROGRAMS.

Dr. Martin Knapp of the London School of Economics will be the guest speaker. Professor Knapp is one of the leading experts in the area of cost benefit analysis of social programs. He is currently Professorial Fellow and (Site) Director of the Personal Social Services Research Unit at the London School of Economics and also Professor of Health Economics in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of London.

Dr. Knapp will be in St. John's for a number of days beginning Wednesday, May 29. He will conduct a private workshop with social work practionners and will also meet in private session with senior levels of the province's civil service.
