Seniors Resource Centre receives funding The Seniors Resource Centre has received a $5,000 grant from the Department of Health to deal with the current financial problems at the centre, Health Minister Lloyd Matthews announced today. "The Seniors Resource Centre provides a valuable community service which greatly assists the elderly in leading healthy and fulfilling lives," said the minister. "I am pleased to be able to provide some assistance to this worthwhile volunteer organization." The Seniors Resource Centre provides a variety of services including exercise programs, social functions, information services as well as assistance in community living. Mr. Matthews said government is grateful for the programs and services provided by many volunteer community organizations including the Seniors Resource Centre.
