Full motor vehicle registration services for Labrador West before end of calendar year

Perry Canning, MHA - Labrador West, said today that he has been advised by Ernest McLean, Minister of Government Services and Lands and minister responsible for Labrador, that government will introduce full motor vehicle services in Labrador West before the end of this calendar year.

Mr. Canning said: "Services to be provided from Labrador West include motor vehicle applications, vehicle renewals, provision of validation stickers, updated vehicle registration permits, driver licence renewals, in-transit permits, written tests, and road tests."

Mr. Canning added that government is now reviewing delivery of other services in Labrador West. A report is being prepared by officials of the Department of Government Services and Lands and will be presented to the minister by the end of the month.

"I am pleased that full motor registration services will be provided to the residents of Labrador West and I look forward to the completion of the report on the delivery of government services in the area. I am sure that this will lead to a better service delivery for our residents."
