McPhayden River caribou extension zone Beaton Tulk, minister responsible for wildlife, announced that effective immediately, the McPhayden River caribou extension zone will be opened to caribou hunting. The minister has received information that significant numbers of George River caribou have entered this zone and he is pleased to provide residents with this hunting opportunity. "The staff of the Wildlife Division of my department will continue to monitor the movement of the George River caribou herd," said the minister.
