Salmon Pond Resource Road
Beaton Tulk, Minister of Forest Resources and Agrifoods, and Sandra Kelly, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation and MHA - Gander, are pleased to announce the award of a contract for constructing a bridge on the Salmon Pond Resource Road near the town of Glenwood.
A $24,960 contract was awarded to A Osmond Construction of Baytona.
"The project is to replace a 27 foot clear span wooden bridge over Big Pond Brook, said Mr. Tulk. "When removing and disposing of the old structure and constructing the new bridge, the contractor must make all efforts to protect the surrounding environment and to prevent the entry of deleterious materials into the brook or pond," he added.
The project will employ three people for two weeks.
