Forest Resources and Agrifoods, announced today the award of a
$28,599.90 contract to carry out new construction of 1.5
kilometres of Class 'D' resource road.
James P. Gillam Contracting Ltd. was awarded the contract to

pulpwood. Mr. Smith commented: "The roads will also allow
access for silvicultural work and monitoring of the regeneration
of the forest." The minister added: "Access to these
areas is vital to our forestry industry."
The project is expected to employ six people. Work will
commence around the end of June and will take approximately six
