Contract to upgrade the Seal Bay resource road Beaton Tulk, Minister of Forest Resources and Agrifoods, announced today the award of a $56,345 contract to carry out work required to upgrade the Seal Bay resource road in the Windsor-Springdale District. Budgell's Equipment and Rentals Limited of Triton was awarded the contract to carry out the work to upgrade and resurface the road which is in very poor condition. The road is needed to provide continued access into the area, not only for logging contractors and associated forestry management related work, but also for cabin owners and commercial farm operators. "Upkeep of resource roads around the province is vital to our forestry industry," said the minister. The project is expected to employ six people. Work will commence in June and will take approximately seven weeks. The project is fully funded by the Department of Forest Resources and Agrifoods.
