Paul Dicks, Minister of Finance, confirmed today Public consultation meetings set for Labrador, Western and Central Newfoundland, and St. John's
the dates of the Pre-Budget Public Consultation Meetings for Labrador, Western and Central Newfoundland, and St. John's. The meetings are part of the process which asks Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to participate for the first time in an open and full manner in helping government make the right choices for its 1996 Budget.

The dates and locations are as follows:

Individuals or groups wishing to make a presentation to the Consultation Committee are asked to notify the Department of Finance through the consultation's 1-800 number (1-800-296-3434). The presentations will be scheduled throughout the day.

The date and location of meetings in Clarenville and Marystown will be announced when confirmed.
