NOTE TO EDITORS:

Premier Brian Tobin will be visiting Corner Brook and St. Anthony on Wednesday, October 30.

The Premier will be in Corner Brook at 10:15 a.m. to take part in the laying of the cornerstone for the Centre for Sustainable Forest Ecosystems.

The Premier arrives in St. Anthony in the afternoon and while there he will participate in four events.

At 2 p.m. a ribbon cutting ceremony takes place for the interconnection of 23 communities on the upper Northern Peninsula with the island power grid.

The Premier then takes part in the sod turning for the Grenfell Interpretation Centre at 3 p.m. This facility commemorates the life and work of Sir Wilfred Grenfell.

At 4 p.m. Premier Tobin will attend the official opening of Chianti Food Processors. Chianti is operating a primary and secondary fish processing operation in the former FPI plant in St. Anthony.

The premier's final event for the day will be an address to the Chamber of Commerce at 7 p.m. at the St. Anthony Haven Inn.
