House of Assembly not to open January 29 as scheduled

NOTE TO EDITORS:

Edward Roberts, Minister of Justice and Government House Leader, today announced that the House of Assembly will not sit on Monday, January 29, as originally scheduled. Mr. Roberts said that the decision to postpone the sitting was made by Premier Wells in consultation with Brian Tobin, who will become premier on Friday morning. The postponement will enable Mr. Tobin to make the preparations necessary for his administration to meet the House.
