House of Assembly to open January 29 The Government House Leader, Edward Roberts, today announced that the House of Assembly will reconvene on Monday, January 29. The government will ask the House to debate and pass the new Schools Act and amendments to the Education Act so the government can move forward with the reforms to the educational system. Members of the House of Assembly will also be asked to give final approval to the amendments to The Mining and Mineral Rights Tax Act which received approval before the House rose for Christmas.
