The following is being distributed at the request of the Human Rights Commission:

The Human Rights Commission reports that a Board of Inquiry will commence on Thursday, March 7, 1996 into a complaint filed against Harbour Diner Limited and Lemuel Lawrence of Shoal Harbour.

The complaint was filed with the commission in August 1994 by a former employee of Harbour Diner Limited, Lisa Burge. Lisa Burge, who was employed as a cook and cashier at the diner, filed the complaint alleging sexual harassment against her former employer. The complaint was not settled during the investigation process and the Human Rights commission ordered the appointment of a Board of Inquiry.

The adjudicator for the complaint is Gerlinde Van Driel. Barry Fleming will present the complaint on behalf of the Human Rights Commission. The hearing will commence at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 1996 at St. Jude Hotel in Clarenville.
