The following is being distributed at the request of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer:

Political parties file annual financial statements

Annual financial statements of the Liberal Party, New Democratic Party and Progressive Conservative Party for the year ended December 31, 1995 and lists of contributors to each party have been filed with the chief electoral officer as required under Part III of the Elections Act, 1991. The director of election finance will analyse these filings over the next couple of months.

Pursuant to Section 277 these financial statements are now available for public inspection during office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, 39 Hallett Crescent, O'Leary Industrial Park, St. John's.
